Amy Nelson graduated from Curtin University of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Podiatry in 2004.
Since then she has worked in both Sydney and Perth as a podiatrist. In recent years Amy has combined being a Podiatrist with also being a Mother to three young children. She has a keen interest in paediatric and sports podiatry. Amy commenced working at Canning Vale Podiatry Clinic in 2011.
Amy brings with her a new dimension to the relaxed approach of Canning Vale Podiatry due to her life experiences. Since having children Amy has come to realise the importance of looking after their little feet from a young age. In her younger years Amy was an accomplished gymnast therefore she also understand the demands and expectations placed on the sports person. These life experiences allow Amy to interact with various clients and manage their individual cases with a great understanding.
Amy is a member of the State Podiatry Association and volunteers her assistance at various fundraising walks. In her personal time Amy is kept busy by her three kids, family landscaping business and adding some rivalry to the office supporting the Fremantle Dockers!
Twalumba Nkwilimba graduated from The University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine in 2012. She is currently studying a Doctor of Clinical Podiatry at The University of Western Australia.
Twalumba joined the Canning Vale Podiatry team in 2013 and enjoys the variety of patients at Canning Vale Podiatry. Her key areas of interest are biomechanics, in-grown toenail management and diabetic care. Her aim is to get the best outcome for every patient and empower patients with the relevant knowledge and treatment for happy, healthy feet. She has also worked in the community with Silver Chain.
Twalumba has a passion for health and wellbeing and has numerous hobbies including yoga, surfing, paddle boarding, diving, netball and travelling. She is a member of the State Podiatry Association
Brie Shepherdson graduated from Curtin University of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Podiatry in 2004. Since then she has worked in many locations in Perth including private practices, nursing homes, retirement villages and senior citizens centre.
Brie has established a varied case load in Canning Vale due to the wide range of people who live within the area. Canning Vale is a vibrant suburb with residents ranging from young families with children and teenagers through to retirees. Brie has developed a keen interest in managing children and sports patients. She has a very down to earth yet professional attitude which allows her to interact with people of all ages and dispositions.
Brie has assisted the State Podiatry Association over many years at various fundraising walks such as Relay for Life. Canning Vale Podiatry Clinic provides support to many W.A. foundations including breast cancer awareness and P.M.H.. Recently Brie has also competed in the 60km HBF Bike Hike along the freeway to raise money for the asthma foundation.In her personal time Brie enjoys many activities including cycling, kayaking, indoor soccer, attempting to play golf and supporting the West Coast Eagles. Please don’t hold this against me!
Brie is currently the vice president of the State Podiatry Association. Brie resides in the south west of WA therefore is available for limited appointment times however she still manages the clinic to the same standard you have come to expect.
