Twalumba Nkwilimba

Twalumba practices as a general podiatrist and is currently completing the postgraduate Doctor of Clinical Podiatry degree at The University of Western Australia. She graduated from The University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine in 2012.

Twalumba joined the Canning Vale Podiatry team in 2013. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry with key interests in podiatric surgery, foot biomechanics and orthotic therapy. She brings a youthful and wholistic approach to the practice. Her aim is to achieve the best outcome for every patient by empowering them with the relevant knowledge and treatment for happy and healthy feet.

Twalumba has a passion for health, fitness and travel. She has numerous hobbies including yoga, paddle boarding and diving. She is a member of the Australian Association of Podiatric Surgeons.

Julie

Julie Hodder-Potter

Curtin University Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) 1999

Julie graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) in 1999. She has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors.

Julie had her own private practice in Kalgoorlie for over 10 years. Being the only podiatrist for many of these years she ran the high risk diabetic foot clinic at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital, provided services to the local nursing homes, and regular services to the local indigenous medical health centre. Julie was also part of the allied health team that provided services to the local lands communities via the RFDS.

Since returning to Perth Julie has worked in private practice and completed further post graduate studies. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry with a special interest in biomechanics, ingrown toenails, nail pathology and dermatological foot conditions.

As a country person Julie offers a professional service with a kind and friendly manner. Outside of work she has a busy life with three children. She is passionate about animal welfare and is a writer for several blogs.

Amy

Amy Nelson

Curtin University Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) 2004

Amy Nelson graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) in 2004. She has worked in both Sydney and Perth as a podiatrist. In recent years Amy has combined being a podiatrist with being a mother of three young children.

Amy joined the Canning Vale Podiatry team in 2011. She has a keen interest in paediatrics and sports podiatry. With three young children she values the importance of looking after
feet from a young age. As an accomplished gymnast in her junior years Amy understands the demands and expectations placed on athletes. These life experiences allow Amy to
interact with various clients and manage their individual cases with a great understanding.

Amy is a member of the State Podiatry Association and volunteers her assistance at
various fundraising walks. In her personal time Amy is kept busy by her three kids, family
landscaping business and adding some rivalry to the office supporting the Fremantle
Dockers!
